How long does it take to get a visa for Qatar?

Dear all, I have recently been offered a job in Doha. It is a well reputed bank. I have following queries if any one can help me on it: 1. How much time does it take for the visa. 2. Is there any way I can check the status of my visa. 3. What documents are required for the visa. I have submitted my passport copies however I have been asked to submit a list of documents at my convenience in the meanwhile they are saying that they have applied for the visa and awaiting for it? Please note that I am from Pakistan. I am very much looking forward for this job.

Hi hasnainali, there is no saying how long exactly the waiting period can be for a visa for Qatar, but this is something that many expats find can be quite frustrating. It also depends on what type of visa you're applying for.

It is possible to track your application online on the government's Hukoomi ePortal - http://portal.www.gov.qa/
You'll need to know your application and passport number in order to track your application online.

You can enter your passport number and nationality at http://portal.www.gov.qa/. It will show your Visa status (Under Process or Ready To Print etc.). If it is issued, then you can take the printout from the site itself.

Hi there,

It's always very difficult to predict how long visa applications will take as it depends on a number of factors. I think the best thing to do would go to the nearest embassy of your home country and ask them to advise you on what to do if the work visa doesn't come on time. I think it's important to prepare for this possibility in advance because visas can sometimes take weeks to come through.
