Is OMR 3500 a fair salary that will allow me to support my small family in Oman?

I have an offer to work in Oman. The salary is OMR 3500 including an accommodation and car allowance. Is this a fair salary if I want to live in a premium place and enjoy life with 1 child?

Hi, It's a very decent amount, Rent agreement thing is attached with most flats. You've to sign a Rent agreement for one year. They would cost around 500-1000 in Al Khuwair area. you may also get separate rooms easily, with probably no rent agreement at all, but this option is best for individuals. Owning a flat is pretty hard here, and they won't cost you much,but rent agreement is the only problem.

Hi I'd consider that a very decent salary. Yes, the accommodation cost is high and you may usually find a decent place around Ruwi or Wadi Kabir area for about 600 OMR which should suffice for your small family. Usually, the employers deals with such matters in Oman. Car expenses are nil in comparison to what we have in UK.

OMR 3500 per month is a decent salary but do remember that the cost of accommodation is high in Oman. You will spend around OMR 2,000 on a 2 bedroom apartment. Furthermore, remember that in Oman landlords ask for a years rent up front, so you might need to discuss having this covered by your employer.

Thanks Dear is really the rents that high I thought its ranging around 700 OR as I heard j can have small standing villa in nice place
