Hi all,

I have been offered a chance to work as a store manager for a high end luxury fashion brand in Abu dhabi for one of the biggest groups in U.A.E.

Salary being offered is on a cusp of £35k-£40k GBP.

I am seeking advice if this acceptable whilst i am also seeking having read other forums chats what other benefits i should negotiate? I.e Housing, car, phone etc.

Employment packages for expats in Abu Dhabi vary from company to company. They also depend on your level of skills and seniority.

Some of the usual things that employer's use to make a job offer look attractive: Some of the benefits that are commonly used to lure expats abroad include : accommodation allowanes, generous amounts of annual leave, an air ticket home each year, personal life and accident insurance and health insurance.

I suggest you take a look at the Cost of Living in Abu Dhabi to draw up a budget and work out what your priorities are. Then approach your employer and negotiate for the extra allowances.
