Transferring to international schools in Abu Dhabi mid-year

hi! is it possible that i could transfer my kids from pakistan to any international school in Abu Dhabi so they dont have to wait till september ? we will be shifting to Abu Dhabi in february...can anyone help?thanks a lot

Hi Humera, it all depends. There shouldn't be much of an issue as your coming from another country, but they do frown on swapping mid term from school to school here. It can however be done , you just have to liase with the schools involved , but it isn't their decision to make , they have to clear their decisions with ADEC . Occasionally if there is an issue with swapping mid term, some schools register the kids as observers until the start of the next term , then register them fully from there. Either way ADEC must be informed , but usually the schools will advise you , and despite the rumours ADEC can be pretty understanding . I hope your move goes well,

Hi Humera,

It depends on the school iteslf and their admission policies. I recommend you contact each school directly to see if they have any places and are willing to accept your children in the middle of the year.
