Cost of living is always a subjective issue. It depends on what you are willing to get by on. That does seem to be a decent, middle range salary. I think the salary is very good. The average price of renting a 2 bedroom apartment varies from 300 to 500 BD, and you could save around 300 BD. As for your wife, I don't think it's easy to find a job in Bahrain since its a small market. But she can try.
