Hi,

I am moving in London in May and my son in June is making 5 years. From September as I understand in UK he need to start with school.

My question is whether he will be Reception or Year1?
Also, he is not fluent in English because I am coming from Macedonia. He is taking lectures now but it is just with basic words.

Do you think that he will be accepted in primary school because he don't know English?

My plan is to take primary school with good or outstanding grade, are this grades reliable for assessing the school?

Thanks a lot,
Tanja

he will be in year 1. You need to have a place to live before you can ask for a place at a school. Check ofsted for reports on the quality of the schools. But remember it depends on the schools having space.
