Which rules and regulations are you referring to? Is this regarding visas? No, it's not about visas. One important question is the matter of the finances. The rules specify that to retire, you must be financially self-sufficient. We have done our sums and can manage quite happily but there is a minimum limit you have to spend if you wish to buy or rent a property and live without being a burden to the country. We have looked at suitable accommodation for us which don't reach that limit and based our calculations around that sort of level. Is there any flexibility? Are there other options? Or is our only choice to give up on a dream?
