Hi
I have a valid employment visa until November 2018 for Oman. I came back to India because of my vacation in May of 2018. I don't want to go back to my company in Oman, because I dislike my sponsor company. I want to know how I can cancel my existing visa from India.
At present, I have received an offer from a new employer in Oman. Will my existing visa affect my chances to get a job in the same country? I have heard there is a two year ban for working without a visa, is this true?
Thanks

Hi there,
From what I understand the two years is from the date of departure. You can't cancel an existing visa without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer who you were working for under the visa.
After two years, the ban should be up. I imagine your record might make it trickier to find a job but if you are able to find one and go through the work visa application process again you should be fine to re-enter Oman for work purposes.
