Good day,
It is true that owning a car creates much more freedom to travel and move around. There are several options you can take when choosing a car. If you are able to find a local dealership and garage to find a car, this is a good start. Read reviews and see what other expats in your area recommend about local dealerships. You can also look online to find second-hand vehicles – though with these you must ensure they are in the right condition.
Are you an Italian resident? Being a resident in Italy essential to purchase a car there. You would need to take several types of documents with you to the ACI Public Registry Office to register the purchase and put the car in your name. These documents include your residency certificate, ID, tax code and proof of insurance.
