HI ALL,
I am planning to move to Istanbul next year with two kids. My major concern is the school, I am looking for IB (International Baccalaureate) system school, and I read a lot about the hidden Arab schools under the American international school name, and some comments are good and some are bad. Is there anyone who has a good experience in schools in Istanbul?
Thanks
khaldoun

Hi Khaldoun, moving abroad with children is often stressful. Are you focusing your school search on the American and IB curricula or would you consider other curricula? Expat Arrivals has a great list of International Schools in Istanbul which can help your search. This list also includes schools that follow the English National Curriculum, with A Levels and IGCSEs, as well as various alternatives. For an overview to the schooling system in Turkey, you can check out Education and Schools in Istanbul. While I do not speak from personal experience as a parent living in Istanbul, I can speak generally of international schools, that they usually provide some of the best standards of education, and also that it's best to check out their websites individually, along with contacting the schools directly and visiting their social media pages.
I hope this helps, all the best with your move!
