It's now been over three months since the king of Bahrain issues a state-of-emergency (March 2011), just wondering what the situation is in Bahrain and it it's safe to visit and even move there?

There were clashes and rising tensions in Bahrain in March (and a bit in Feb), but since that time the political situation in Bahrain has pretty much returned to normal. Business is still slow and the tourism industry, especially, has yet to bounce back to life, but otherwise all things in the expat communities are pretty much how they were before.

If you're thinking about moving to Bahrain, and you're still concerned, I definitely recommend you take a trip to check it out for yourself.  I think you'll find the biggest danger is actually the intense heat.
