Hi Guys,

I moved to London a couple of weeks to go. So far I am loving it - there is so much to do and see, so I am always busy. I have some guests visiting me from home next month and I wanted to see if anyone could give me some recommendations on what to do with them. They've all been to London before, so have probably done most of the traditional tourist things. They are all students, so will probably be on a tight budget. But we are open to anything.

I really would like them to have a good time while they are here so all your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks :)

Hi Anya,

As you say there is plenty to see and do in London, so your guests will certainly not be at a loose end. Expat Arrival's has just updated their See and Do in London and Whats On in London pages.

If they've done all the main tourist sights, then maybe they can explore some of the lesser known areas of London. East London is has recently become more popular with students and bohemian types and there are plenty of galleries and exhibitions that they can visit in Hoxton or Shoreditch.

Also, if the good weather is still about then they can spend some time relaxing in one of London's many parks.

Remeber that while London is a notoriously expensive city there are lots of activities that can be done at no cost whatsoever. Most of the musuems and galleries like the British Museum and Tate Modern have free general admission (you will need to pay for special exhibits though)

Eating out can also be done on a budget. Head to Brick Lane for a good curry, you'll find everyy restraunt is competing for customers and will have some offer on to get you to choose them. Also check out sites like Groupon and Voucher Codes - they oftern have two for one offers for many of the big restraunt chains.

Hope this helps. Enjoy showing you visitors around the city.:)
