If you already have a job in Qatar and a current sponsor and are looking for a new job, you may have some difficulty with regards to your visa and your company being reluctant to allow you to resign - you may have to leave the country for at least six months and then apply for a new work permit, with the help of another company offering you a job.
Whether you wil find the right job for you all depends on what you are looking for. Most well-paid expat jobs, particularly in the petro-chemical and oil industry in Qatar are reserved for those who are very well-qualified and highly experienced. Otherwise there may be jobs available in the services and tourism industries, but it's best to do some more research about this.
For more information, I suggest you have a look at our Working in Qatar page. Also see Visas for Qatar and Work Permits for Qatar for more on obtaining a work visa.
You will need to decide which type of visa you will need for Qatar will depend on your reason for being in the country.
If you are going there for work, you will need a Qatari work sponsor and the employer usually foots the bill .If you are just going for a short visit, it is easier to obtain a tourist visa which costs just QAR 100.
Take a look at the Visa for Qatar page for more detailed information.
