Hey,
I am visiting Fiji for a month or two on my way Australia, where I will be spending a year on a working holiday.
My biggest concern is getting around in Fiji. How are the transport options ? Are their buses and trains ? How can I travel between islands ?
I'd like to get a car so I have more freedom to explore? Will I be able to buy one in the short-term and sell it when I leave? Is it safe to drive in Fiji.
Please help.

Obviously a car will give you more freedom and convinience. However, driving is not always easy for new arrivals in Fiji. While road conditions are OK, the behaviour of other drivers is likely to cause you som frustration. If your budget allows it hire a car with a local driver, this will give you the convinience without the stress of having to deal with driving yourself.
As for public transport in Fiji, while there are plenty of options at your disposal.
