Hello,

I want to know whether the company Skylink Housing LLC exists in Bahrain, and whether the job offer I received is a scam.

Thanks.

Hi Manjunath

After a brief internet search, I'm quite certain it's a scam. The best way to defend yourself is to know about some of the processes involved in getting a job in Bahrain and paying attention to when companies deviate from these norms.

For instance, you shouldn't have to pay money for a visa to the company, it should go directly to the consulate (it gets a bit more complicated for work permits, but you need a visa before you can get a permit).

When in doubt, check with consulate of the country in question
as to whether they can find any records for the company existing or whether they are aware of any fraudulent activity involving jobs in their country.

Have a look at our Visas for Bahrain and Work Permits for Bahrain pages to learn a bit more about these processes.

Best of luck,

Xavier
