The rough timeframe that is usually given for the visa process in Saudi Arabia is six to eight weeks. Given that much of the responsibility for getting your visa processed lies with your employer, it is difficult to give an exact estimate.
Have a look at our Visas for Saudi Arabia page, which gives an overview of the process involved.
Good luck, and I hope everything goes smoothly.
Best,
Xavier
Things always move a bit slower during fasting times, but that just means things are likely to be more difficult, but generally not impossible. If you can arrive when Ramadan is over, do that, but don't worry too much if you can't.
Have a look at our Transport and Driving in Saudi Arabia as well as our Buying a Car in Saudi Arabia, which gives a bit of advice on driving and licences in the Kingdom.
Also have a look at our Accommodation in Saudi Arabia page, and the links at the bottom for Riyadh and Jeddah.
Finally, if you have the time, our Expat Experiences section shows what a lot of people have gone through while moving to Saudi Arabia, and often gives some good advice.
Sorry for all the links, but that really is the best way to get the most information we can offer.
Good luck!
