Any advice on schools in Abu Dhabi?

Hi there

My two kids and I will be joining my husband in Abu Dhabi in a few months. I was just wondering whether anyone has any ideas for me to make sure that I choose the right school for them. This is new for all of us, so I'm a bit stressed and feeling lost. Any help or insight would be so welcome.

You can also have a look at our new Abu Dhabi Schools Guide, which you can download for free. It gives a comprehensive overview of the education system and gives a list of some of the most prominent schools in the emirate.

Your concern is understandable, as choosing the right education for one's children is no light matter! You are in luck, however, as Abu Dhabi has a large and thriving expat community, which has resulted in numerous top-quality educational establishments.

You should be able to find a good overview of schooling in Abu Dhabi on our Education and Schools in Abu Dhabi page, as well as a list of popular international schools on our International Schools in Abu Dhabi page.

Kate, I too have two children and will be joining my husband. My children and I will be going over with my husband to "see" Abu Dhabi next month and then make the permanent transition in June. I read the info on here and did other research and will visit schools next month. I don't know the policy on this forum to get contact info to keep in touch with one another, but I will look for it so that I can touch base with you when I return from the UAE after Thanksgiving.
