Hi I've been trying to find info on bank transfers to another country. I live in Ireland and have a mortage bills etc to continue paying. Is this possible to do without any complications? Another question: do women have to cover up in public places other than their own clothing.
Thank you

Hi Paula,

Banks in Abu Dhabi are used to dealing with foreigners and international transfers. Usually all you need is an account number at your bank in Abu Dhabi and a SWIFT code. The bank should be able to help you with this.

You can read more on the Banking, Money and Taxes in Abu Dhabi page.

With regards to the appropriate clothing for women, while expats won't be expected to wear traditional emirati attire, expats should dress modestly and keep their arms and legs well covered.

Good luck
