I recently got a job offer from a company located in Slough. The offer was around 85,000 pounds per year, plus bonus and health insurance and I would be moving with my wife and two small children (4 years and 4 months). As I have no clue of the cost of living in the UK or if Slough is a nice area to live (from what I read in the internet, it doesn't seem so...), I would appreciate your help on the following topics: - Where should I look for a place to live (Slough, London, surroundings...)? - Is the package that they are offering me enough to live a "relaxed" (i.e.

Hi all,

I am an entrepreneur who is currently based in the UK. I've heard that it is a good time to invest in Qatar in the run up to the FIFA 2022 World Cup. But I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience of business practics in Qatar? Are they open to working with foreigners? What is the business culture like? Is the infrastructure good or is there lots of bureaucracy?

Plese share your thoughts.

Hi there,

My husband and I are moving to Saudi Arabia from Spain as he has a job in the oil industry. I am a little apprehensive about the move but this is mainly because I am worried about losing my independence. How do women get about in Saudi Arabi if they are banned from driving? Can I use public transport or will I have to rely on my husband to take me everywhere?

Hi Everyone, We will be moving soon from Egypt to Oman. Of course one of the main issues of settling in is furniture. We would like to buy from IKEA Dubai. They say they only deliver within the UAE but it can be shipped by third party freight company. We've been thinking of renting out an SUV and transporting the goods ourselves. Has anyone tried this before? Just wanted to know would this help me save on freight charges or will the SUV rental and gas money be more.

Hello, I am retired. I am from the USA, but I live in Japan. I want to have a vacation condo in the Philippines. However, I am not sure if I should rent or buy a condo. Could anyone give me advice or to help me decide what I should do. I want to stay in the Philippines during winter time because I don't like the cold weather in Japan. I stayed there last winter, but it cost a lot; I paid over $1,000 USD for 16days. I was thinking that I could rent a condo, but If I buy a condo then I do not have to worry about finding a place to rent.
