Hello! My family and I are thinking of moving to Calgary in the summer. We are wondering what (if any) European electrical appliances can be used in Canada? Also our son currently plays ice hockey for the u9 Black Wings, Linz. We are wondering what clubs are good? We are hoping to move to the Bridlewood area of the city, south west. I have narrowed down an elementary and junior high school in the area, but if anybody has any experience with school in this area I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time. Regards, Lauren Dorward Linz, Austria Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland.

Hi Lauren, I'm in a similar situation, moving from the UK to Canada. I found this webpage helpful. It gives you a very detailed explanation on the suitability of using all electronic items in Canada. The two main considerations are whether the item is set up for the lower voltage in Canada, and whether TVs are compatible with Canadian signals. But rather than relying on my explanation, here is the link: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Compatability_of_Goods Melissa
