Finding an apartment in Paris

You'll need more than just a few good online resources to find an apartment in Paris, you'll need a whole lot of luck and an even larger amount of patience. That said, here's some good places to start - I'm assuming you're an English speaker, perhaps even American:

American Church of Paris (Acparis.org) - pop in and have a look at the listings board. 
FUSAC - print/web publication
PAP.fr, Lodgis.fr and Seloger.fr - virtual housing portals
Craigslist - be wary of scams, and NEVER pay before viewing the house

You can also use a real estate agent to help you look, but you'll have to pay them a finder's fee (usually one month's rent). Also, if you're keen on finding a flatmate in Paris, you can consult Appartager.fr.

Stepahnie has good advices. I do recommand to invest in a real estate agent: they will save you so much time, effort and frustrations! The French market, and especially in Paris is highly competitive and it's not what you know, but very often Who you know: lots of transactions NEVER even hit the public market because most of the Agents have already a waiting list of Sellers and Buyers and they do the "matchmaking" in their offices just with a few phone calls.
