I am a site manager in fit out / construction. Landed on Gold Coast few weeks back and looking for start anywhere. All useful suggestions gratefully requested, thanks marcus

Have you tried perusing the online job sites in Brisbane? There's literally hourly posts for construction positions on Gumtree - http://brisbane.gumtree.com.au/f-Jobs-construction-trade-engineer-W0QQCatIdZ18346

Though, you may be over qualified for most of those positions. If you're looking for something more formal you'll most likely need to have a work permit - are you already in possession of this document or do you have an Australian passport/residency?
