Is Ho Chi Minh City expensive ?

Hi There,

I am moving to Ho Chi Minh City in July and I was wonderirng if anyone can give me advice on how much I should budget for monthly expenses ? Rent, food, utilities, entertainment costs ?

If it turns out to be more expensive than I thought, I think I will postpone the trip and try saving more money in the US before heading to Asia.

You should not find Ho Chi Minh City very expensive coming from a Western country. The cost of living is relatively low.

As for your budget, it depends entirely on your lifestyle, but to give you some idea of what things cost in Ho Chi Minh City have a look at our Cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City page.
