How do we find a driver in DRC?

We have to get to an area between Lubumbashi and Kolwezi for a month to survey for a new mining project in DRC.

Does anyone have advice on how to find an in-country driver with experience in dealing with the local hierarchy and govt officials?

Hi Ingrid,

In the DRC, most rental cars come with a driver. If not, this can be negotiated. I recommend approaching a local rental company and requesting a driver with the knowledge you require. It should be difficult to find a driver in the DRC, as they are available through almost all rental companies. Have a look at out transport and driving in the DRC page for info about your different transport options.
