Hello, I am 25 years old, married person staying in India, and wanting to relocate to Abu Dhabi as a new job is awaiting there for me. Offered salary is AED 7000/- per month. My wife is a professional kid-garden teacher and has a 4 years of experience. She will find a job after reaching there. What should i keep in mind before confirming the job ? Off-course accommodation, transportation, driving license expenses etc. are on my account. Will i be able to save a minimum of 2500 AED per month ? And what about Health insurance ? what are the other things i should clarify with the company before leaving from India ?

Hi

This question has been asked a number of times in this forum. I suggest taking a read through the comments here and here and here.

When you say accommodation etc will be "on your account" do you mean you have allowances for these as part of your package in addition to the AED 7,000? If so, the package sounds reasonable.

If not, tt depends on your lifestyle and I realise you say your wife will be earning an income too, but really AED 7,000 is barely enough to survive on and you probably won't be able to save any money. Have a look at Expat Arrivals' cost of living and accommodation pages for more information.

Hi, I've just received a job offer(Al Ain) with basic salary of Dh8K ++ with housing allowance Dh8K ++ with transport allowance Dh1K++ with others = total-up Dh 19,500. I will stay alone while my family will remain in Malaysia (wife and one daughter 15yrs old only). Should I survive in Al Ain and got extra money to send back to Malaysia each month?
