Just want to clarify. A business/working visa is for entering the country. A Work Residence Permit for Qatar is needed to legally live and work there.
Assuming that you're talking about the actual permit, it is usually the responsibility of the sponsor (i.e. the hiring company) to ensure that all of the paperwork involved is in order.
All that I can suggest is speaking to your employer and speaking to the Qatari consulate where the Visa was applied for.
The second-to-worse case scenario is that you will have to process all of your paperwork again, in which case you can probably expect it to take the same amount of time as it did the first time round. The worst case scenario is that you've found yourself a dubious employer and should consider your options carefully.
Have a look at our Embassy contacts for Qatar page for the numbers of a few Qatari embassies around the world. You could also maybe have a look at our visa and work permit pages.
Hope this helps.
