Hi,

I recently arrived in Argentina and am not feeling well. I do not have medical insurance, but am afraid that I may need to go see a doctor one of these days. Will I be able to go to a hospital or a doctor's office? Is medical care in Argentina expensive?

Hi! The good news about healthcare in Argentina is that public healthcare is free, even for foreigners. Healthcare in major cities like Buenos Aires are generally of a high standard. Most doctors would speak at least some English as well. The only bad thing about public healthcare in Argentina is that waiting times can be extremely long. However, at least you can rest assured that if worse comes to worst, you can see a doctor without worrying about medical insurance. You can read more about healthcare in Argentina in our guide page. Hope this sets your mind at ease! Rianca
