Hello, we are moving from Jersey to Madrid and my daughter (5 years old) is half French-half Russian. We put her name on at the French School (Lycée Français) but her first language is English and we don't speak it at home. I am looking for any activities/clubs for British children to help her to keep English. Please, if anybody could advise... Thank you!

Hello Anastassia,
I am Pierre-Alban Waters, this site expert for Madrid.
First of all, it is indeed a great idea to keep your daughter speaking english with activities she will love here in Madrid.
I recommend Kids In Madrid: http://www.kidsinmadrid.com/en/home.html
They are the #1 source for great activities in English for kids in Madrid. They organize their own events and also are a portal where a majority of other activity organizers will post their offers. I am sure you will find there interesting activities in English for your daughter.
All the best,
Pierre-Alban
PS: Are you Oliver Giré's wife ?

Hi Pierre-Alban!
It really looks like the global expat community is a small one! ;) I am Olivier's Giré wife. How did you guess?!
Thank you very much for the information, I will have a look on their web site...

Hi again Anastassia,
I know Olivier, since I'm his business school (EDHEC) alumni association president in Spain. He called me last week to ask for advice. And i have a relocation company (http://www.flatawaymadrid.com/) so I had plenty of advice to give him.
How are you both? I guess you are in spain how, but olivier did not give me any news since the first time we talked.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any kind of question,
Pierre

Hello Anastassia,
At La Bolsa Mágica www.labolsamagica.com a fairy tale place next to the Retiro Park, we are starting this week an urban summer camp. Half of the program is in English by a native British girl who will organise for them theater, dance, games, crafts, and lots of fun activities to practice while speaking English.
The camp takes place every day from monday till friday from 9 to 14:00.
