Hi there,
After a lot of deliberation, I've decided on moving to Cape Town with my family. Now I just need to find a good area for us to settle in. We're probably going to be able to afford an upper-middle class area, and don't want to live too far outside of the city. Any advice?
Many thanks
Belinda H

There are plenty of options that are popular amongst expat famillies living in Cape Town. Neighbourhoods like Vredhoek, Gardens and Tamboerskloof are very close to the city centre and you will be able to find large houses there.
Do you have children? If so, I think much of your decision will depend on their schooling options.
For a nice overview of different neighbourhoods read the Areas and Suburbs in Cape Town page.
Do let me know if you have any more questions as I am an expat from the UK that moved to Cape Town 4 years ago.
Good luck.
