What are the best Internet options in Ghana. Is it possible to obtain a mobile broadband stick? Are there any specific service providers that any expats could recommend. How reliable is the connectivity and speed? Aslo, ballpark, what kind of costs should i expect?

The Internet market in Ghana is changing rapidly right now, in favour of the consumer. With various new international fibre cables landing in the country, prices are being forced down.

Currently there are MTN, Airtel, Vodafone and Tigo who all offer sticks/dongles with 3G access. MTN has by far, the widest coverage in the country. Costs are between $40 and $100 per month.

There are a number of ISP's in Accra, many selling SOHO Internet, at a highly contended rate. Examples are iBurst, B4U (from Vodafone), Teledata and Zipnet. Prices range from $50 to $500. There are also a few professional NSP's that offer dedicated Internet at pricing in the $500 to $10,000 per month range. Examples are Gateway Business, Internet Solutions (IS) and Vodafone Enterprise

Glo Ghana has the cheapest Internet bundle. 80 gh cds for three months I use it my self when I go to Ghana.
