Hi Prankal, are you talking about Fijnbosch in the Contantia Kloof area in Johannesburg? If so, then yes, it is quite a good area consisting of upmarket housing - it's secure and conveniently located to great shopping. I would say that wear ever you live in RSA you should make sure that you should choose your housing based on security regardless of how posh the area is. While you certainly do not need to be afraid of your shadow, break-ins and crime still happen even in the very famous guard gated community's. Think about access points. If you have time, Spend a day driving around to look at how buildings that you might want to live in are protected. There should be controlled access that starts guards at the gate. No open entry points and security calling your unit to get permission to send visitors to your unit. Strongly consider units with security alarms. And do not feel silly when you ask about security and you are told dismissively that "oh, You don't need it, you are safe here". I promise you that these people that try to make you feel silly about protecting your self have security systems in their home! You may even be able to have The your company security officer advise you on certain buildings as they often know about problem communities.
