Hi I have received a job offer in SHENYANG. I am in the occupational healthcare (8 years experience after graduation) industry and the job is in the automotive manufacturing industry.

Please tell me if the below offer is good enough to make the move with my wife from South Africa to China, specifically SHENYANG. 30 000 RMB per month with full medical insurance for both and 5 200 RMB per month accommodation incentive?

Congrats on the job offer!

I am not sure about the specific cost of living for Sheyang but I can tell you that expats living in China spent between RMD 3,000 and RMB 35,000 per year. So there is a pretty big variation in price but I think you can expect to pay around RMB 10,000 per month. Accommodation is always the biggest expense for people moving abroad, must of the rest will depend on your indiidual lifestyle and if you have a family support.

I suggest using the Cost of Living in China page for a bit of guidance.

Hi All I have got an offer in China with 25000 rmb (before tax). I am not sure if this is sufficient for living in Shanghai. Please guide how much I should ask. I am Engineering graduate with 4.5 years of exp in electrical engineering. Do let me know the expenses and how much i can save with mid size life style... Plss help
