Looking for a domestic helper in Norway? What is the process if I want to hire a foreigner?

We will be moving to Stavanger, Norway later this summer from Malaysia. We currently have a Filipina domestic helper that we would be interested in moving with us. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how that may work? Need to know the Visa process, the average monthly salary, etc.

Thank you both for your input. I have looked into the visa requirements and hopefully we will get hers sorted. And thank you for your interest Nadir. But we will either stay with our current nanny or go without.

Have a look at our Visas for Norway page as well as Work Permits for Norway to see if those are of any help to you. Otherwise, have a look at the Norweigan Directorate of Immigration's website.
