Hi,

I am trying to ascertain what we are likely to pay for our children to attend public high school prior to us receiving our permanent resident status.

Effectively our children will need to pay “international” fees. We will be living in the Dairy Flat area.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi there,

Public schools in the area cost about $10,000 per year for international students at primary school level, maybe more for secondary. If you are planning on permanent residency, you might want to homeschool for a while until it comes in. Or, many international students go to private schools as I have heard they are often cheaper.

The local public school information for international students:

Best of luck,

Alex
