Hi, I am coming to SA (joburg)for a holiday with my african partner. We want to get tested for STDs before being together. Where should we go,i.e. doctor or hospital etc. I want to go to a western standard doctor. Does anyone have any idea of cost and how long test results might take? Any oter advice would be useful. Many thanks and apologies if topic upsets anyone but I really need some advice.

Prices and waiting times for test results will vary depending on which facility you use. 

Take a look at the Healthcare in Johannesburg page for a full list of hospitals and clinics. I suggest approaching a facility close to where you are staying and making the necessary enquiries.
