UK driving offenses effect on residency permit Qatar?

I've been offered a position within a company however I would have to go and get my RP.

Apart from the medical reasons is there any other reasons why I should have the Residency Permit refused??

i.e. like unspent criminal convictions within the UK like driving offences etc?
