Is it expensive to live in Qatar?

I have been offered a job QAR 82100 yearly. All ınclusive?? Please kindly advice is this amount fair enough for normal standard of living or not? By the way, I am planning to move my family and 16 year a boy , after I stayed at the first half of year than take them back in the next half.. How much should I have been offered than will be fairly enough? what type of contracts I can offer to my employer? in that case.

It seems all your major expenses are covered so QAR 4000 will need to cover your lifestyle.

Could you clarify what you mean by all inclusive? For instance, does it include allowances for accommodation costs?

If not, you may find it difficult to find a place to live that you can afford. As per the table at the bottom of our Cost of Living in Qatar page, a two-bedroom apartment will on average cost around 10,000 to 18,000 QAR a month. Dividing the figure you've given (82,100 yearly) by 12 months to figure out your monthly earnings, your salary will be just under 7,000 a month, which wouldn't be enough even for rent.

However, if your company is paying for your accommodation and/or other essential expenses, then it's a different story.

The cost of living in Qatar also greatly depends on the lifestyle of the individual as each person has their own standard of living that they're used to and their own spending habits. However, you can use the table on the page I've linked above to draw up a mock budget of your monthly expenses and plug in the figures on the table, and from other cost of living websites like Expatistan and Numbeo, to estimate your monthly costs. This will act as a ballpark figure so you can get a rough idea of how much money you might need each month.
