Hello community. I'm totally new on here an desperately need some advice. I am in the early stages of creating a travel/ tour business, catering for LGBT visitors to Mexico, and I desperately need some advice. I really hope you can help me. I am currently considering registering the company in the UK or Mexico and trying to get as much information as possible to make an informed decision. My initial questions: In the near future I will be moving to Playa del Carmen. Therefore will I need to be considered a resident of Mexico the time of application, for example do I require a lengthy home address in the country or can I apply immediately upon entry? I will be operating the business solo, but will hiring local staff on a contract basis, so will it be difficult for me to form a limited company (LLC)? As it is only me, is it possible to use my accountant (for example) as the additional person, with no risk? Is anyone aware of trading laws/ regulations in Mexico specific to the travel industry which one must adhere to? i.e. must you be a member of a particular commission (eg. IATA) to be able to sell flights as part of your travel company? As my business will be online, I will be requiring merchant services to process client payments by credit card. Is the process of opening a business bank account difficult for foreigners? Can a foreigner obtain merchant facilities? Finally, I'm sure each case is different but roughly what timescale am I looking at to be fully incorporated and ready to operate. So many questions, I know (and I'm sure I will have many more) but I very much appreciate you taking the time to read through. I hope very much to hear from someone soon. :)
