How to exchange money/silver in Russia?

This may be a stupid question but I have a little bit of cash and silver, how do I cash it to fit Russia's rubbles or whatever they use now? Do I carry it to Moscow or can I put it in an account free of charge somewhere? hope isn't too dumb for I've never done anything like this before. also will ss cks stop here if I am there?
