Hi, My husband has been offered a job in Doha ona salary of 45000 qar a month, exc everything but medical insurance. We currently live in Riyadh, KSA and the contract here includes 4 bed villa Toyota Fortuner Fuel Utility bills 2 return flights home per family member per year School fees for 2 children Would a salary of 45000qar per month afford us a similar lifestyle and allow us to send money back to the UK each month? Thanks

Hi Daisycat, whether your salary will afford you a similar lifestyle in Qatar to what you are used to in Saudi Arabia all depends on your own particular lifestyle choices and what you feel is important. You may be surprised to know that the cost of living in Qatar is not as high as in some of its Middle Eastern neighbours.

I suggest having a look at our Cost of Living in Qatar page for a break down of what the basics cost in the country in general, and for a more specific breakdown for Doha, have a look at our Cost of Living in Doha page. For info on the schooling system in the country, there is our Education and Schools in Qatar page.
