Skype is no problem. Using social networking or any website with 'blog' in the title will be blocked. The 'free' and illegal proxy is constantly found and blocked by the authorities. I gave up on it in the end and have a paid proxy provider which has been excellent. However, in many places, the internet is so slow that you can't watch a film or video by streaming as it will be off more than it's on. I've had to give up on that completely. Many completely innocent sites are blocked, such as images which you may want to download for Powerpoints. Wikipedia gives me a lot of trouble. Google UK usually does not work, I have to use Google CA. Yahoo is a pain and frequently goes off. If facebook etc is so important to you be prepared for lots of problems.
