To answer your questions:
The average rental for a fully furnished two bedroom apartment in Accra is about 1800 USD per month. But I am certain you will find options way above and below that price.
It is possible to purchase a second hand car in Accra but just make sure that you go to a reputable dealer and all the legal paper work is provided. Many used cars in Ghana are stolen cars brought in from Togo.
Many expats opt to hire a driver because driving in Accra can be dangerous as many drivers are unlicensed and do not follow the rules of the road.
The average rate for a maid to do some light housework two days a week is 120-150 GHC per month.
Malaria and cholera are both health hazards that do exist in Ghana, but if you take the proper precautions such a taking preventative medication, using a mosquito net at night and drinking bottled water, both can be avoided.
Lastly, there are numerous good private and international schools in Accra. The Lincoln Community School offers education at the pre-school level and tuition is between 11, 000 and 20, 000 USD per year. Another good school is the Ghana International School.
