What's the job market like in Hong Kong?

I think the Working in Hong Kong page would be a good starting point for anyone trying to understand Hong Kong's work environment.

English is the main business language in Hong Kong so your wife won't have to deal with too much of a language barrier. Some proficiency in Mandarin, may give you an advantage, so maybe look at taking a short language course.

Luckily, the financial sector offers the best opportunity for expats. She can start by searching online but there are also specialist recruitment agencies that can assist her. 

If she already has connections to any multinational companies, maybe she could look into getting a transfer to their Hong Kong office.

You should try a mix of recruiters, newspapers and job boards such as monster, jobs db and apricotjobs.com (newbie site). Then you should be able to find and apply for lots of different vacancies and get your cv around to as many employers as you can.

The meetings of the Russian Business Club in Hong Kong may be quite useful for you. They provide amazing opportunities for networking. They may give you the chance to meet representatives of various influential companies and to establish helpful connections. Don't worry if you don't know Russian. The meetings are in English.
