Am seeking advice from parents of Teenagers in Asia on moving to Vietnam. Have been in Singapore for six years and have option of moving to Vietnam, HCMC or Hanoi howver have 15 year old daughter in last two years of school. Know they have the international schools in both cities however what is it like for teenagers in the cities and are there many expat teenage kids that age in Vietnam. Not so much worried about myself and the wife as we will all b OK however just interested to understand what sort of experience anyone can share with me. Concerned about schooling as want to ensure she finishes last two years well. She is a bit of a muso as well so like the music scene. Any comments or advice I am really appreciated. Are the Australia schools OK. Also just on housing, any recommendations on housing and best locations, for a landed house, no condo as have a dog.

Hi Garry,

Relocating your daughter in her last years of education can be tricky.

Where abouts are you moving to? There are lots of international schools in Ho Chi Minh City, so hopefully you can find one there that suits your daughters needs and extracurricular interests.

You might find it useful to download the Expat Arrival's Ho Chi Minh City Schools Guide for more insights.

Hope this is helpful.
