Are there any Russian schools in South Africa?

Hi my kid is 6 and does not speak English at all I'm from Ukraine and I got a job south africa, I have to move there with my child so I want to know if there is any schools in south Africa that give class in Russian or that will be able to assets in things like this

Hi there

Unfortunately there are no Russian-speaking schools in South Africa. The first thing I would do is to contact the Ukrainian and Russian embassies to see if they have any suggestions.

I would highly recommend you try and get your child speaking English as soon as possible, especially if you intend on staying in the country for a while.

You will, however, be happy to know that there is a fairly large Eastern European community in the country, which might be a source of support for you.

In the meantime, homeschooling is a possibility in South Africa, and might be worth investigating. Have a look at our Education and Schools in South Africa page for a bit more.
