Advice about healthcare in the Philippines?

We're moving to the Philippines soon. I'm really excited, but still have a few concerns - particularly about healthcare. I've heard so many different stories - some of them horror stories! Anyone got any insights to share about this? Are there any decent private hospitals in Manila or will I have to go to another country like Singapore for medical services?

Hi smith, Philippines is one of the best place for retirement. and in terms of healthcare services? philippines is not far behind from other countries in terms of information, skills, and training.. right now even hospital equiptment are best serve in major cities, especially in manila.
