Critical worker visa for South Africa?

Hi,

I am Software Quality Analyst and want to apply for Critical work visa in South Africa. But my field lies under BPO category instead of ICT. I don't want to work in a BPO call centre type environment.

I fear, if I apply as Quality Analyst under BPO category then I will not be able to find a job in a pure Software Company.

Kindly clear my query.

Hi uttra,

The procedure for getting a critical skills visa in South Africa has now become quite difficult and the amount of paperwork necessary to apply is almost mind boggling.

I've heard of people struggling with critical skills visas and being rejected on the smallest of technicalities. For this reason most people tend to hire a immigration consultant who knows the intricacies of the law and if there are any loopholes, etc.

Hi Shantalie, Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I don't have any offer letter from KSA employer but I want to come and search job. I contacted couple of lawyers in SA but they are demanding too much money with no security. So am confused. Thanks! T Uttra
