I will be working on the island for a large company in Kowloon. Are there enough expats living in the area? An agent has sent us details of a new development by the name of Drake. Also, I would sometimes need a hospital for personal reasons, are there any in the area? We noticed on a forum that there are plenty of GPs in Gold Coast. We don't speak local language to make things more complicated!!
Many thanks
Tom

There are a couple of good hospitals in Kowloon, so that shouldn't be much of a problem. Both public and private healthcare services are of a very good standard and all doctors should be able to speak English well. Kowloon is pretty popular with expats so I think if your wife gets involved in some community activities she should be able to meet some fellow expats. In any case, Kowloon has good transport links so it should be fairly easy to get around if she does make some friends slightly further out from where you'll be living. Harrow sounds like it will be a good fit, as well, and it might be a good place for you and your wife to meet some fellow Brits.
All the best with your move. Feel free to get in touch again if you have any more questions.
