We're moving to the Philippines soon. I'm really excited, but still have a few concerns - particularly about healthcare. I've heard so many different stories - some of them horror stories! Anyone got any insights to share about this? Are there any decent private hospitals in Manila or will I have to go to another country like Singapore for medical services?

Hi Smith, the quality of healthcare services in the Philippines varies depending on where you are in the country, but private facilities in Manila are generally good. Doctors are well-trained - many of them having studies oversees, and most are likely to speak English. You need to ensure that you have comprehensive private health insurance to cover your medical expenses, especially if you're looking to go to another country such as Singapore.
