Hi Everyone

I'm going to be leaving sunny South Africa for a job in sunny Brisbane, and was just wondering if there are any particularly good areas that I should try find accommodation in.  I'd like to be close to the action, if at all possible!

Many thanks

Hi there. The city centre is of course a sought-after (and pricey!) location. Depending on whether you have or are looking to start a family, some of the outer suburbs can be a better option, such as The Gap, Kenmore, Ashgrove or Hamilton and St Lucia (the last two being closer to town). For singles or couples, trendy suburbs include New Farm, The Valley or West End, which all have fantastic restaurants, bars, and boutique shopping precincts, and are located minutes from the CBD. Hope that helps!

Hi David, can you please let me know the average rent of one-bed-room flat in those area? I am going to move to Brisbane in December or January 2013. Thank you Daniel
